Join the emergency responders network
By installing the AED ALERT app on one’s mobile device, activating the GPS location function and selecting to be available at certain times of the day, the emergency responder receives notifications if a resuscitation assistance is needed within a 750 metre radius of their location. The emergency responder who receives the notification must reply if he/she will go to the call. This way the number of rescuers on the scene is being monitored.
When enough responders agree to go to the scene, the others receive a recall message. For this reason, there are never too many emergency responders on the scene. The rescuers on their way are given the exact coordinates of the scene and a map of the route to the scene. Some of the emergency responders are sent to fetch the nearest defibrillator (if available) to the scene.
What you need to do:
-
Download the AED ALERT app
-
After receiving the message, answer whether you will go to the call
-
Get coordinates and road route
-
Save a person’s life
Why is it worth expanding the network of rescuers
Quicker help
Nearby people witnessing a sudden death call the emergency medical services earlier, start the chest compressions sooner, bring and connect an automatic defibrillator.
A higher likelihood of survival
The more first responders there are to resuscitate and defibrillate before the arrival of medical services, the more patients survive and return to life without a neurological impact.
A better quality of life
If nearby people start resuscitation immediately, the chances of survival increase 3-4 times. The chances of leaving the hospital on your own feet are almost 75%.
